Hello and welcome to HHO.
Regards the potential buy, as suggested, go with your eyes very wide open and ask lots of questions. Be confident and you will just have to see when you get there.
Good luck

welcome to HHO!

I don't think that the dealer being happy for you to bring your own vet makes him any more or less trustworthy necessarily. as the others have suggested ask lots of questions, don't be afraid to walk away if you're not happy with Anything however little it may be. Don't feel like you have to buy that or any other horse from the dealer. If you can, try to go with someone else and get them to take some photos of you riding the horse so that you can go away and think about it without the pressure of the dealer.

Have fun and let us know how you get on!

try it, if you like it Get your OWN vet to look at it and then buy it if all is fine. dont expect to buy the first one (its not often that happens) but good luck and remember to have fun xx
and welcome to the forum x

Hello and welcome.

As the others say go with your eyes open. Trust your gut feeling and remember that any good salesman will tell you what you want to hear. Go back to see the horse a couple of times if you can. As said before ask lots of questions and if you can take someone who is knowledgable that knows your ability and you can trust to be honest with you. Be honest with your vet with what you want from this horse. Another must... take a video camera and try and resist making an instant decision or be presurised into one.

Good luck with finding your dream horse :)
