Hi, has anybody brought HKM pads before? I can’t find measurements anywhere online! Not sure between dressage / gp and if I’ll get away with pony.
He’s a 13.3 with a 16” saddle, fits almost perfectly (a tiny bit of space either side) on Le Mieux GP S/M
also going to be buying ears but he has a tiny head so will definitely need pony

Can't comment on the pony size but have the full in dressage and gp and they are fairly generous and sit nicely under an 18” saddle on a 16.2 so think that would be huge on yours. The dressage pads are straight cut and would only suit if you had a dressage saddle. The GP is perfect under a normally cut GP, is just about OK with an Event style saddle but would not be forward cut enough for a jumping saddle.

I have quite a few from the Gently range and love how soft they are, a little thicker than a thin pad but not enough to affect saddle fit and last well. Some of mine are years old.

that’s brilliant thanks! I’ll definitely go for pony then, he’s a slim build for a section C and he looks tiny in an oversized saddle cloth!
And great that they are different cut rather than just shorter, pony GP it is for him! Thanks so much for your help

I had an HKM Comfort saddlecloth for my boy (soft fleece and no seams on the underside, to stop his winter coat getting rubbed out) before I owned him. I seem to remember the size looked ok at first, but it had gold piping an inch or so in from the edge and the piping sat under the back of the saddle so I stopped using it for fear of it causing an area of pressure there. Just something to consider if there's piping or anything on the ones you're looking at :)

very good point! I’ll make sure I’ve got a few inches more than I need or I’ll size up so I don’t have that problem
