I hacked Dizz out today, with Friend who was on BC. It was meant to be mellow and chilled...

Let's just say that I think the Dizz is feeling rather fine!

In other words... ...Stroppy argumentative c*wbag!!!! Argued and stropped and if I dared to take up the contact, well, the world was coming to an end :rolleyes:. Wasn't too bothered until she kicked off just at the start of the bridge over the M1 :o. Normally goes over there no problem at all. Today I thought I was going to go over - the parapet!

I am ridiculously proud of myself :D. I stayed on top and regained some semblance of control :D. I didn't turn round and go home (though that thought not so much crossed my mind as tried to make camp).

She argued and stopped all the way. I tried a loose reing (Whoa!), asking her to work, tried my hands in different places, lightened my seat, deepend my seat, all to no avail :(.

Got back to the yard and took her in the school. At this point she is still very, very forward going . Asked her to work. She suggested I go and boil my head. I took several deep breaths, droppd the reins 'till I was on the buckle, and just walked round in circles for a wee while. She stretched down very long and low, which is unusual for her. I slowly took up the contact again, asked her to work, and she was brill! Soft and flexing and a joy to ride :D.

Am thinking that maybe (just maybe) she tweaked something, hence the long and low and being better afterwards. Giving her the benefit of the doubt lol.

As a point though, I am cutting out the Pessoa work for a while, just while her brain cell (and I!) catch up with her fitness :D

Ah, horses :eek::D:rolleyes::D

Glad you had a successful hack out, and had some nice schooling upon getting home.
Seren hates a contact too, I can very rarely get her to agree on a contact while out hacking (we have no school), its very frustrating!

ahh that lovely fresh feeling :D It kind of makes me smile behind my grimace. Sounds like a victory in the name of confidence though so well done. (i hate motorway bridges and would have got off and cried all the way home!)

Osc hates a contact too. Which is fine in the school when he listens to my seat etc. But on a hack when he's trying to beggar off with me in excitement, i'm afraid he can't complain if i have to take a hold lol!

Very brave of you for sticking in there! Glad she went well in the end!! :) Here's to more of the good and less of the naughty :)

Thankies thankies :)

Normally the bridges are no trouble at all - never had a problem (not even when there was a scary lone cone on one). I don't think it was the bridge per se, I think it was more that it just happened to be there as it were when she decided to have mega strop. Her bum went up! Friend was telling me to get my shoulders back; I said the front end is about to go up, Friend pointed out that the back end already had!

I have blisters on my fingers, and I was wearing gloves... :o

Daft hoss.

Will be back on in the morning, in the school. She will be doing boring circles, on a contact, and flexing nicely. Not sure she knows that yet though lol :D :D :D

oooo naughty chesnut mare!!!

well done you for staying on and sticking it through!!! i hate it when they do things like that on a hack let along by the m1!!!!!!!

just make her fat and lazy then u wont have a problem! :) ;) hehe joke!

looking forward to pics of D1!! :)

Yup Q87 :D

Instructor has suggested that I don't start dieting just yet - when I said that Dizz was thinking of playing Catapult-the-Rider, she said I need all the help I can get to keep her feet on the ground lol :D.

At least you know she's feeling well in herself :D Is it Dizzy in your sig pics?

Here she is, with D1 on her a couple of weeks ago :D.
