have any of you been to Ingatestone? its about a 45min drive from me and debating whether or not to go.
i have a big long list of what i need to buy (mucking out tools- wheelbarrow/broom etc etc), everything i need for a horse first aid kit (some stuff i will buy from tesco or somewhere, like cotton wool, as it will be cheaper) as well as stuff like saddle rack and new feed/water buckets.

is it worth the drive so i can get it all in the same place? or would it be just as good to go to my local take sore?

Oh yes Ingatestone is fabulous you will just love it; it is massive - you can get everything there from feed to clothing, boots and tack and a brilliant cafe which do great food :)

Just be careful though its so easy to spend there. A great day out all in all and loads of ads on their boards to browse and look out for demo days where they have riders in demonstrating something in their manege :D

Never been to Ingatestone, but I'm big fan of buying locally where I can.
Remember and factor in fuel for a 1.5hour round trip when you figure out how much you are saving if you do go at the price of fuel these days you may end up spending more.

We're about the same drive away from Ingatestone as you are and it is well worth the drive :D the breakfast in the cafe alone is always very good!

We make it a bit of a yard outing every now and then - three or four of us go, take it in turns to drive and go down on a Saturday or Sunday for breakfast then shopping! Can easily spend a morning there (and would probably stay longer if the pennies allowed! :D
