Took Hairy out earlier for a quiet stroll for a couple of hours.
However, about 3/4 of our way round [after finding some lovely set-asides to go round which go on for miles and are all topped, light and fluffy to foot!] my ankle which I thought was on the mend, turned out it wasn't :/ Which I found out midway through having a lovely rolling canter up a hill. Cue throbbing ankle again and blazing bloody pain. And at which point, the plastic bag I had on the saddle with my drinks bottle in, snapped, and lost my drink into the stream -_- Got off, retrieved the bottle, got back on again [cue ankle throbbing more]. Boots and chaps were digging right in where it was swelling and couldn't take wearing them anymore, so [whilst juggling reins one handed, untangling myself from his mane, balancing a big litre bottle of drink and undoing my chap and taking my boot off.

Hairy, luckily, is a saint and just stood there quietly with this all going on top of him [secretly sighing at me I think. His street cred's well and truly gone this week ,what with shopping and now me playing something resembling Jenga on him!]

So, managed to take my boot off to my foots relief and wasn't hurting as much with it off.

And then had to ride home for the next 40mins, one handed, barefoot on one foot hanging out the stirrup, juggling the bottle, my boot and chap with a broken bag hanging off him too.

Not our best look :( Luckily never bumped into anyone! Got back and spent the next 20mins cold hosing MY leg and grabbing some ubuprofen. FFS. I felt like a bloody horse.

*sigh*

What have you all been up to today anywy?

I spent 20 minutes being forcefully dragged and headbutted into prickly bushes by Kelly...but we WERE seen by people :p
Not quite as spectacular but embarrassing all the same!

Awww noooo! :(

I took husbands horse out, who has come back into work after a rest, therefore slightly portly and forgotten his manners....

This resulted in me bellowing down his ear, and kick-kick-kicking him past 'scary wheelie-bins' round the village! The railway track was a no-go, but a nice friend who was passing by grabbed him and hauled him over for me....TSK! I felt a right useless berk, I have a mare no-one round here says they dare ride as she is sooooooo sharp....yet I couldn't get a 'usually' bomb-proof cob round the village!

We only went out for 45 minutes, but hardly got anywhere!

Ah well, taking the bruiser out again tomorrow, got 6 weeks of holidays to get him fittened up somewhat...but I'm exhausted! Tia, my mare....who has strained her shoulder therefore resting...is a super-speedy horse, the time it took for us to walk to the otherside of the village this morning...would have taken Tia about 15 minutes with her super-fast walk....

Nevermind, sis-in-law brought me a cream-cake so we had a cuppa and a natter this afternoon.... :D

Oh dear lol!!!

I remember my first time ever hunting years back....came to second horses and turned out my legs were jelly and no-more....unfortunately I found this out as I got off, into a rather large muddy puddle!

:o

Binky, can I come stay with you for a while? The world of Binky sounds great fun!

I have been working, followed by making sure the new arrival, Little Tinkerbell is well and truly settled in. Bless her, she's so gorgeous!

Welcome to! Haha. My social life is non-existant atm so have to keep life amusing somehow! Ends up with very bombproof [and fit!] horses at least. Pmsl. :p
