schooled him again tonight and he was extremely keen so was umming and ahhhing whether to have a canter or not as was worried about having brakes

So decided to give it a whirl and take it easy, Pidge however had other ideas and 4 1/2 laps of the big indoor school later (30mx60m) I persuaded him to trot

So it would appear that he is feeling exceptionally well so fingers crossed again that he is sound tomorrow. All things being well we may even be able to compete at the HT on Saturday...........

I had a pony who hurt his back out hunting, and on my first ride on him I was meant to be walking. We were plodding across a stubble field (he alwats needed persuasion to shift himself into a gallop normally) and he took off. We went round 3 times before he decided he'd had enough!

Bloomin' horses!

tell me about it! I just wanted a nice chilled short canter, but Pidge obviously had other ideas

haha they are all at it, though it was just my boy, today he decided he had trotted enough and shoke like a dog then proceeded to try and canter off with me
