Intelligent or just plain stupidity....I think its the latter.
Mackenzie has a new trick up his sleeve and I've observed him a few times now and obviously intervened at the crucial moment but have come to the conclusion that he's either got a screw loose (one of many
) or he does actually think he can climb over a stable door with the help of something to step onto.
Basically when I muck his stable out, he's tied up outside his stable (were in a block, he's on the end though so I can only tie up one side of the stable) he watches (eyes on stalks) at the mare in the next stable eating her hay and where he's tied its next to her door unfortunately, so he places his nearside fore foot on the kick bolt fastening on her stable, wedges it in and stands up on it so he can try to lean over her stable even more, thankfully he's not got shoes on and I gently kick his foot (well hoof) off again along with telling him NO etc and asking him to back up, before he either gets it wedged in or breaks the kick bolt off, he's only done this a few times since the stable fairies have wondered off with my hay net, but I've seen it all now, I thought youngsters were supposed to get better not more mischievous!
