Any thoughts anyone?

oooh nice, I liked that one too, although seemed a little pricey to me - although I am northern.....

Looks like he has nice markings, and needs a bigger jump to go over

Quite pricey but nice horse by the sounds of it. Wonder why they are selling?

Bought for the husband to ride, but he doesnt have time to ride it. I thought it was pricey too???

I thought you had been convinced to save your redundancy money??! I am not agreeing you should though

Looks very smart, let us know how you get on

I would do excatly the same as you, however I doubt I would be able to save any as the new horse would need new saddle, bridle, rugs (about 15), travel boots, fancy headcollar etc etc etc

Pricey if not competed affiliated in any discipline methinks....I'd being looking at around £5500

[/ QUOTE ]

Woo hoo, thats what I was thinking too - between £5 and £6k. Doubt she will drop that much from the asking price however! Ah well, I will see whether I like it first

looks lovely, bit expensive though.

I clicked on the add as soon as i logged on

Keep us posted on how you get on

I like him. He does look very nice from the pic.

He is a tad pricey though. Not sure you'll get that much off considering his named price but play on the credit crunch thing & that horses aren't shifting as well as they were blah blah blah

it's twice the price that I would personally pay for that type of horse/experience - although maybe the photo doesn't really show any star quality that he may possess.

Incredibly overpriced - you could get something far nicer for less money that was a normal colour.

LMAO at the 'normal colour' bit DD

She has described him as being a real saint, even though he is young, which is was I need..... but I will see why she has priced him as she has, maybe he has potential to go further than I would want to
smile.gif

For £8,500 you could get something seriously nice - I'm not saying that the coloured isn't just that you could find something with more ability and track record for the money. The fence in the advert is tiny - for an £8,500 horse I would want to see it jump a lot bigger.

Good Luck tomorrow!

Look at the 'stunning eventer' bottom right. £250 more for a lot more horse by the looks of it. I think the coloured is really over priced.

I had a look at that one too
smile.gif
Neither of them really are schoolmasters though, and that is what I should be buying

I'd aske her when you see him if you like him. Why have you priced him at £8500? They normally don't know what to say!

Great minds think alike
tongue.gif
Thats exactly what I am planning to say
grin.gif
Not quite sure how to suggest that I would expect him to be about £3k less than she is asking for him though

Look at horsequest, Allrounders over 16hh, 3rd ad down - PN eventer, looks a lovely sort and one hell of a lot cheaper too....plus it has a track record. Only in warwickshire so not a million miles from you. That's the one I'd be going to look at if I were you, not the coloured.....(assuming the bays BE record doesn't show up anything horrific that is!)
