My pony has yellowed feathers on his front legs due to the fact he wees on them !

I washed his legs and tail with cowboy magic 'yellow out' shampoo

The yellow is still there but is now fetchingly accompanied by some nice blue socks

Tried to shift it using head and shoulders (which is apparently excellent for stripping colour) but have admitted defeat and put the pony and his blue socks to bed

Any bright ideas?

I use that cowboy magic shine in yellow out a lot. If there is still blue in the hair my guess is it needs more rinsing. I have never had it turn a grey horse blue, but I do use a fairly powerful horse wash, so mure water pressure than your average hose, to make sure every last bit of shampoo is out.

Try Ariel Gel with whitener.... It is bright blue BUT will get rid of the existing blue lol. ( just do a patch text first)

No ideas, but I'm sure someone will have, for future reference, when you next use the shampoo, if you ever use something with blue or purple... I even add extra purple spray to my whitening shampoos:eek: if you make sure you continue to massage the shampoo in until the lather/suds turn white, this will not happen, massage in until they turn white, this helps to really shift the dirt because you are working the shampoo in and the dirt out, leave on for a couple of minutes, rinse and towel dry the legs. If you don't lather until all trace of blue or purple has gone, you get purple/blue rinse pony

Get some white stock marker spray and cover it with that :D.

OR get some blue and yellow Matchy Matchy and just go with it!

I've found that baby wipes can remove both this and that, but for feathers on two legs, you would probably need to use a lot of baby wipes.

Have you tried any heavy duty hand cleaners, like e.g. Swarfega power http://www.debgroup.com/uk/products/selector/skin-care/swarfega-power , Lava hand cleaner http://www.lavasoap.com/uses-tips/ or Orange Goop hand cleaner https://www.momsgoop.com/items/13/35/orange-goop-hand-cleaner.aspx ?

Although if mine and the other's suggestions fails, I like Ffionwinnie's advise about getting more blue and yellow Matchy Matchy. :)

Omg QB you are such a mum! I thought I had followed the instructions really well I promise, I think it was pure lack of flexibility that meant I didn't manage to massage it in as well as I thought I did lol

I've made a list of the options and have decided to go with the matchy matchy suggestion

Thank you for all of your help - very much appreciated :)
