Sage has recently started holding up a hind leg. It happens after she has been lay down and she doesn't yelp or seem unduly bothered but holds her leg off the floor or barely touching. Almost as if it's gone to sleep Lasts around a minute or two and then she's fine. She isn't lame at any other time.
Any ideas? First time it happened I thought oh no cruciate again but it isn't the same as Dexter was.
 
T' would appear no one has any ideas. :( If it doesn't improve within the next few days I'll have to take her to the vets. Was hoping not to have to go back there so soon after Matty. It's going to bring back some bad memories.
 
No advice, I'm sorry, as it's not something I've had any experience of.

Hope Sage is back to her normal self soon. I know all too well how horrible it is to make the trip to the vets soon after losing a previous beloved pet.
 
Is she any better, or has she been to vet? I only just noticed this post....the whole posted on last showes first is doing me nutt in:mad:

She could have over done it when running, the boxers OH walks are always lame on one leg or the other,their vet always tells them to rest for a good few weeks (they never do mind u, and it always re-appears), I think when a joint is hurt it's probably worst after rest or lying on it rather than when they are more active, atleast if u rest her a few weeks and it rears it's self again you will know it needs investigation.
 
Thanks Cayla. She is 4 and this has only cropped up over the last few days. She has been very quiet since we lost Matt so am fairly certain she hasn't overdone it when out and about. Still you never know with them do you?
Haven't been to the vets yet, was hoping I wouldn't have to go back quite so soon. Still a bit raw about that place!!
Think I'll keep an eye on her for a few days and see how we go. It certainly isn't getting any worse.
As for the Rimadyl I have my own stash so could probably cut GH a deal. :D
