Hobday op

The horse in question has had a successful hobday op (about 3 or 4 years ago I believe) and has passed a 5 stage vetting a year or so ago including being scoped to see if it was a tieback or hoday he'd had done. Therefore deemed fit for purspose as a RC horse, hunting etc by the vet.

Is it possible for it to still roar on exhale slightly even if the op has been successful? Said horse is currently rather unfit & in poor condition so making this noise in canter intermitently on exhale at the moment, but regardless not effecting his performance in any way & he's fine in himself not at all struggling. I've been told the noise is not there or at least lessens when hes fit. Is this likely? Or is it something that needs looking at again & that could have come back?

He's at the very most going to be used for RC showjumping, some xc clinics & fun rides :)

Thanks!

My chap has had a successful tie back and hobday and now makes no noise.
Also are you sure it's exhale as noises due to windpipe restricsions are normally heard on inhale. A lot if horses choose to make a noise on exhale ( some blow their nostrils for example )
