Hock injections

Just wondered what everyone pays for hock injections and whether you have to go down x ray route etc first or if the vet can see its an old arthritic horse, are they generally happy to just inject ? Thanks.

My mare was xrayed initially then hock injections probably yearly. I suppose the vet could just inject but may prefer to see extent of the damage first.

Mine has always just injected. I'm waiting for the most recent bill to see what this round cost!
