Has anyone had problems with hocks or sacroiliac but your horse has NOT actually been lame? This is the problem I have and vet visited yest and suggested going straight in for a bone scan ? any thoughts?

Yep, have had two horses with SI problems and no obvious lameness - only problem for me was in canter which felt like there was little impulsion, particularly from one hindleg, and canter looked awkward from the ground.

What action/ treatments have been suggested ? My mare has become v snatchy with her hind legs and almost impossible to shoe. Now having problems loading as think the action if going up ramp is uncomfortable . This has all happened in 12 weeks period and is worse since hunting 2 weeks ago. What started off as apparently being bit awkward for farrier has rapidly moved on . I have only owned her 12 weeks and she passed a 5 stage vetting .

Oh gosh, poor you. SI problems are complicated. One horse had SI injections. They work well for many horses - I didn't see any benefit from them. Other horse has been treated by a holistic vet, largely via chiropractic manipulation of the pelvis.
Seems to very much depend on what the problem is and it's a hard area to diagnose. Don't know much about hocks though...
If you want any more info/have more questions and are on Facebook, look for group called Horses with sacroiliac problems - plenty of info/experiences there.

Ah that's brill thanks. I almost hoping its hocks and arthritis as much easy to treat than sacroiliac issue. Not that either is ideal. Previously she jumped and with me she has been loving doing xc and hunting and adult horse camp weekends ..,, but some part of her rear end has obv suffered from our fun and/ or highlighted an issue . Thanks for help x
