Hogged or hairy cobs- which do you prefer and why

In winter hairy but never so hairy forelock in their eyes but in summer mane pulled so some fly protection but not so long they are hot under that mane
 
In 99% of cases full on hog & clipped out - much much nicer.

There is the rare, top quality vanner that most definitely looks better with full flowing locks but IMO they are few and far between
 
I like my cob hogged and trimmed only leave his tail alone. it's neck covers in the winter and fly masks in the summer, though he is chestnut and I would think twice if he had pink skin as I'd worry about sunburn.

Plaiting his mane never looked right as his neck is so thick so even pulled there was so much! If I had a hairy I would keep the mane incheck though, no mane reaching the knees for me.
 
I voted hairy but I actually prefer mine with a pulled mane. I cant be bothered with full hairy - he's not got enough to look spectacular so he just looks a bit unkempt. He does suit hogged but I missed having mane to hold onto :o

For other peoples horses I like them either way - depends on the horse
