No No No No No! No hogging please! She is a lovely traditional cob! And it will take a lot longer than 6 months to grow back believe me!
My boy is hogged and clipped, and he does really suit it, but not only is it a nightmare to keep on top of (it grows quick enough to warrant having to be redone every 3 weeks) but when it does grown back it looks AWFUL!
We left him one winter to grow out (clipping was a major issue back then
)
In around 6 months my horse had one very impressive mohican, and what looks from a distance like great big poodle style puffs around the bottom of his legs! Not a good look.
My friend said it took her 3 years to grow her mane back from being hogged, and its only midway down his neck! And his feathers dont look very good, not long a flowing like you would expect
