Holding reins (doubles) !

How do you hold Double Reins properly ?

I am using them on a tom thumb bit, and the way I am holding them is working, but not sure I am holding them correctly.

use the following as help

First or index finger : 1
Second finger : 2
Third finger/wedding-ring finger : 3
Little finger/pinky : 4

reins as normal, but the curb rein goes in between fingers 2 & 3

OK so I am not far off, I hold snaffle as normal, but the lower shank I have between 1 and 2 !!! oops

personally I hold snaffle underneath my 4th finger, and the curb between 2&3. Find I cnagive clearer aids that way and get less confused!!! lol
