I love my hay cube. It makes soaking hay easy and it keeps the hay all tidy and neat in Lottie's stable whilst allowing her a natural feeding position.

However it's been dragged across the yard a bit when full and worn through the mounded little feet on the bottom and is slowly leaking.

Any tips on how to deal this? I was thinking about super glue or some kind of sealant until I remembered that she eats out of it and water is involved and they are toxic. I would gaffer tape the bottom/outside of the feet up afterwards and might simply try this first for short term fix, but I think it would need something to cover the holes. Puncture repair kit on the outside? That toxic though too isn't it?

Help. I can't afford a new one and these tiny holes mean it leaks!!!

Take it to a local car bodyshop. They almost all have proper plastic welding kit nowadays (phone to check first obviously).

Will come back good as new.

Ooh that's a good idea. There's a great little garage in our village I'll pop in to see if they can help.

How about fish tank safe silicone. Not that expensive for a little tube. We used it to stick a 3d background to our aquarium.

Not a bad idea for a temporary fix maybe.

You could try Sugru.

I have no idea what this is...

Trots off to google...

Sugru looks great, but it's not certified as food or child safe so I'll maybe not use it in something that soaks hay. I think that they probably think it is, but haven't yet got the certification. I'll check out the fish tank sealant and pop to the garage.
