Holiday Cover, Freelance groom/Yard-sitter

Am planning a holiday in Oct/Nov (with a little visit to Goresbridge at the start!) and need to find a responsible person to look after my horses. The lad who has worked for me for the last year has got himself a much more exciting job so cannot help me. The yard is on the Dorset/Somerset border.

Is there a website or agency that can help me?

yes there are several but usually just as effective to ask around. try local yards tack shops etc. you will probably find someone who knows someone reliable.

Where are you?

I have someone I use who comes out to me if I need to from near Yeovil. She's mainly an instructor, but does holiday cover too. Charges an hourly rate though, so could be expensive if you need lots done.

Thanks Shazzababs. Would be great if you could PM me details. Most of the horses will be home with their owners but will have two or three that need working, including a hunter that will need getting ready for the owner.

i pay an overnight stay at 25 per night (8 til 8 to include feeding cats and dogs) and freelance cover at 10 to 15 per hour for riding ,mucking out etc. (they have their own insurance)
