I really need help,
I was wondering if anyone knows of a good home where my dog could stay while I go on holiday, in August. I don't really want her to go to kennels and would much prefer her in a home environment. The thought of leaving her is hurting me already. LOL I'm so soppy. I would normal leave her with my mum but as she is coming with me I'm a little stuck. She is an 8 year old rottweiler. I live in the Oxfordshire area. If anyone can recommend anyone that would be great.
 
Dog sitters are the best idea. I also won't put my dog in kennels and I have a fab lady they go to stay with when i'm away.
 
I know its hard putting dogs in kennels but if you find a good kennel dogs do get on with it.
I used to work in a bording kennels and the worse bit is for the owners the dogs dont seem bothered at all.

We always used to ask the owners to bring in and toys and there bedding with there smells on, we always used to offer afternoon or day bording running up to the owners holidays so the owners felt better.

Our kennels use to walk each dog twice a day in an enclosed wooded area and the rest of the time the dogs slept.

Look into kennels around you you dog going into a house and to people they dont know could strss them out too.
 
If Swindon area is not too far I can recommend somebody - my dog goes to day creche with her (has been going there for 4 years now) but she also does boarding. Not a kennel environment and very nice people...

We only go where we can take the dog, I don't have a passport so its always in this country.

I'd go on reccommendation if you're going to put her in kennels
