i'm trying to think of a birthday present for my boyfriend and thought it might be nice to book a weekend away for us and take our new puppy with us (obviously when he's had jabs and is allowed out) and was wondering if anyone could recommened anywhere fairly cheap? i'm in lancashire so was thinking yorkshire dales of lake district?

the studio apartments are basic but functional (I don't cook on hols anyway

) and are all tiled floors so very dog-friendly. There is also a bigger apartment with 3 bedrooms, but as there's only 2 of us plus dogs we go for the cheaper option and spend more on eating out

There's a hotel over the road that does food and you can walk into Keswick from the apartments.
