Holistic Horse and Pony Centre, Surrey

Does anyone have any experience of this equestrian centre in Ockham, Surrey please? Any reviews, good or not so good would be much appreciated.

Are you after some holistic h&p action or do you just want somewhere nice to have lessons and go for trails?

Well, I had my own horses for many years and then emigrated for a few years. I now want to return to riding after a break of 8 years in the view of getting my own horse again next year. So, I want to just get 'back in to it' and try to return to the level of riding I used to be at. Normal riding schools leave me cold as I don't like the way a lot of them over use their horses or the fact that there's no time to 'connect' with the horse you're going to ride. I'd like a place that allows you to groom, tack up and just spend a little time with the horse before riding. I also like the fundamentals of holistic riding/ownership as I'm quite 'old school/common sense' when it comes to horses - if you get what I mean...!

A mixture of hacking and schooling is what I'm looking for really. If I can't find a place that feels suitable, I was thinking of doing a horse share and having some training sessions instead.

Hi Have been riding there quite a while and really love it! You get lots of free time to groom, tack up and bond with your horse. There is lots of good hacking and the horses are so full of character. Hope this helps!
