Holmside Hall/Leamside Equest/Alnwick

Moving to Newcastle and looking for recommendation where to put my horse, I work offshore 2 weeks home 2 weeks away so need my horse kept in work for the 2 weeks I am away.

She is a show jumper currently doing 1.30/1.40 so need her kept to that level

I've seen the above 3 yards on Internet and all look lovely but wonder if anyone knows if they would be suitable for what I'm needing

Or does anyone else have and recommendations for good SJ yards in area which would keep horse in work when I'm away and on full livery.

Ideally with some hacking and BS shows at home

Quite a spread of locations and other possibles in the area depending on what you want? West park at Tow Law do schooling livery I think, might be worth contacting BSJA area 12 (northumbria) as they'll also be able to help as there are yards at Stamfordham (Pastures New), Titlington (Phillipa McKeever Curry & Jay Ryder Based there not sure if they take on liveries), also Ross Middleton (further south), above three venues always very busy on a weekend with shows (SJ/DR)

Also depends on the kind of yard you like, Alnwick is very competition focused

Happy to travel to yard if it's the right one

Must offer full livery and be able to ride horse for me when away and ideally if possible a BS show is on at yard or they going to one jump the horse for me in a class

Indoor school a bonus but not a must as long as it has a decent outdoor school

Ideal holds BS and clinic at yard again not a must but a bonus

Has some hacking.

But the most important thing is the horse being kept in work and progressed when I'm away.

If anyone knows any other yards I could look at then that would be great

Alnwick Ford does full livery and has some impressive facilities. My friend has her horse there when she is away with work and he gets competed for her as well.

They have fantastic facilities, indoor and outdoor school and a cross country course. They regularly hold clinics and competitions as well.

Try Pastures New - I have just started training with the lady who has taken it over and shes lovely. Shes a BS Coach, UKCC Level 3. I'm not sure what level she has competed at but she has mentioned 1.30/1.40. She will def do schooling liveries.

I don't think she has a website but does have a facebook page.

Holmeside Hall do bs and full livery. The Gubeon do full livery with a bs rider I believe. No experience of either though. Is Ellen whittaker still based in the area?
