I hope you're all keeping warm. It was -13 here last night. Pretty nippy for the south!

Brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.................

Excuse me but here I am trying to motivate myself to go out in the cold to see my horse and this has only motivated me to stay in the warm for a bit longer with a hot cuppa :o

Nitty is so feckin' cute. Aaah.

Isn't she though. I just love her :)

I'd stay inside if I were you, it's coooold!!

Just the thought of that temperature makes me shiver!

How's her knee?

Going down very slowly in that special way that these things do with her. By the time she's been out all day it is almost normal but it's still filling over night  Good job I love her isn't it?! :p

Haha!:D:D:D

Mine had frosty whiskers this morning and the coblet is out naked:eek::D:D:D Mine were both in a hurry to get out today:rolleyes:

It was -15 here and you could feel the air freezing in your nostrils:eek: the horses were funny when they were out - all you could here from the fields was lots of dragon snorting going on while they defrosted their noses!:D there was also much hooning about going on to warm up:rolleyes: Some of the liveries should have been here to see their precious darlings doing handstands in the snow....:D:D:D

Ice on the inside  Had that last year in our bathroom, thank god for our new gas ch this year :)

Love the whiskers, and yep you're mean for turning out with no rug, mind you I think norman only a has a rug to make me feel better, mind you he can't move far in his tiny frozen paddock, only between the hay and water ;)

Mine are bored of snow and ice. Don't even bat an eyelid now. They just stand there eating their hay. BH didn't have frosty whiskers. He must have stood at the back of his box all night hiding from the cold. Poor little precious :(

Nice rug, Brown Horse ;)

I love how BH has got a nice rug on and still looks cross and cold!!! haha :D

BH has two rugs on! I am contemplating a third for him ( and anyone who knows me knows that I don't rug for no reason, he is just such a cold beast)

And you're right MrVelvet. I hadn't noticed how peed off he looks but these photos totally sum up the difference between my two horses. She is the eternal optimist who loves to be out whatever the weather. He is an absurdly grumpy sod who would much rather be left in his box unless it's blazing sunshine and at least 15 degrees! Funny how different they are despite being managed the same isn't it? :)

Thanks TFF. How is your little Fuzzy? If you don't mind me asking :o

Rallied remarkably well & now coping - brilliantly with the cold weather - no rugs but trace clipped. Vet thinks we'll have to be very alert once temps come up again into +double figures :(
Have been hard hearted & have a even smaller 'little fuzzy' joining the gang in 10 days :o so 2 fuzzies become 3.
Will post pics when parcel has been delivered :D

It was -12 here this morning! Took these photos on the way home. Think it is called hair frost but could be just ultra hairy hoar frost!

Here's my utility window visited by Jack Frost in a cold snap here a few weeks ago. Hope it soon warms up for you all. We had -8 to -12 for days on end last year freezing my house water eventually.

Stunning pics BonneMaman

-16 here last night, apparantly the coldest place in the country, brrrr

Took the bullet this week and have left pampered pony naked this week during the day ( our first winter with him, and he was shivering in the summer) and finally he has manned up and was toasty warm in all his nakedness :)

Naked roll :D

Loving Nitty's frosty look - you should've seen JJ this morning, he looked like an equine icicle! I'll get photo tomorrow :D

Not cruel mine has loved the snow and was galloping around(supposed to be arthritic) bucking and rolling charging round and round yesterday. He is naked woolley mamouth.

Very nice pics and it is freeeeeezing isnt it! Double glazed and frozen inside it looks to me????

We went down to -10 here in Surrey, my dog (who can't bear to be without me) watched me put boots and coat on this morning to sort ponies and refused to leave his bed!
