I was pondering an idea whilst look at the prices of matchy matchy type sets, also the fact most of them come in full and my boy is in cob sized stuff. Has anyone dyed their own stuff? Was looking at the Dylon website and I have an oldish white saddlecloth and white fleece bandages that I thought may be suitable.

No but I used to dye my jeans all the time when I was a teenager; just follow the instructions and you will be fine. What colour are you considering?

Dyeing shouldn't be a problem but just be aware that different fabrics take up the dye differently. So if your saddlecloth has binding which is a different fabric you could find that the binding will end up lighter or darker than the saddlecloth itself, and your bandages may be a different shade again.

I often dye stuff with dylon, I normaly dye bandages and rope reins, but do make sure you wash them once before using, my mare ended up with blue legs after sweating on new dyed bandages!!!!!
