Home-made anti-crib bite?

Hello,

Does anyone have any home made verisons? Im sick of paying for it as my mare only nibbles abit; but worried about her annoying the yard owner with her chewed door!

You could try pasting the door with mustard???

Or her own urine

I think I would think twice about chewing wee soaked wood

Also creocote works well, but is smelly and would stain a grey/coloured horse maybe!!

It did used to make a mess and you have to be careful not to get it on your hands and in your eyes, but I used to mix Tabasco sauce with English Mustard and put a thin film of that on anything wooden. Eventually it dries in.

My horsey never touched the wood again !
