I know this was posted a while ago and have looked for it but cant find it, but what is the best home made SUPER DUPER strength fly spray as the horse has come in this evening for his tea with a mahoosive fly bite (i think anyways) its that big its bigger than the lid off and effol container! on his belly and he's not happy. I've gone through all the different makes in the shop which has cost me a fortune and i refuse to keep buying it if its not going to work, so can anyone help...? Thankies

Go into the section called Stable Yard - there is a sticky post in there with all the different 'recipes' - if you have a grey just don't use the cold tea as it stains!!

I make my own and *touches wood* neither of mine have had a bite yet this year (one is grey and one is piebald so are like fly magnets!!)

I use home made fly spray of citronella oil and water. you can get the oil from chemists, use an old fly spray bottle and i use a capful of oil and top up with water, works a treat! make sure u don't get it in your eye, i did once so painful!!
