has anyone got any ideas for home made fly spray? I find none of the shop ones work very well, so thinking of making some. has any one any receipes to share please.

If you go in stable yard there is a sticky in there with loads of ideas, however I've just made my own:
350ml bottle of White wine vinegar
350ml water
small squeeze of washing up liquid
5 drops of tea tree oil
5 drops of lavender oil
Put it all in a plant spray bottle and shake regularly when applying.
So far it's working alot better than brought ones and a heck of alot cheaper!
You can also swap the White wine vinegar for apple cider vinegar and you can use any combination of lavender, citronella, tea tree or eucalyptus oils although the first three are meant to be the most effective xx

I find citronella oil/essence(roughly 20 drops), cold tea (without milk!) and dash washing up liquid is FANTASTIC!!! Smells horrible & can leave marks if you have a grey but it works!!
