home made showjumps!

i know this has been posted alot, but i was wondering if anyone in bedfordshire knows where to get some wooden poles from that we can paint ourselves that are cheap?

and if you have any ideas on 'how to build your own wings and jumps' help me!! im not a natural DIY woman here!

Look on the internet for plans - there are actually quite a few books on Amazon on how to build jumps of all sorts (sj, xc).

Try local wood yards (yellow pages) if they don't have poles they might know someone who does.

Scats had some recently that were quite reasonable in price. We got 8ft wide ones (dinky bit of field to jump dinky pony, but they did do wider) which fortunately fitted in the back of the car and I think they were £3.72 each.
