I have been riding a 9yo 16hh British warmblood gelding for the last couple of months and the owners have decided that they need to sell him quickly (complicated). They paid £7000 this summer but he was too much horse for their 16yo daughter, they are prepared to take considerably less (they would probably accept £2k). He's not an easy ride but I've been competing him at novice dressage without too many issues. Basically he needs a competent rider looking for a project horse. I don't really want to send him to a dealer but may have to consider it, does anyone know of any reputable dealers in east Cambs? Photo and more details on website www.ldequestrian.co.uk

Maybe I wasn't clear, I am in an awkward position and am stuck with somebody else's horse. I'm just trying to find him a good home and don't want to send him to a dodgy dealer. In short: does anyone know of a reputable dealer?

to be honest if you are looking at a dealer then you are more likely to get £1000 instead of £2000, however good the horse is as they need to make their money. I had the heart breaking decision to make for my young horse that was too sharp for me but needed to go out and compete. i sold him to www.wixstonestud.co.uk they are Peterborough way and the guy is really nice, I can thoroughly recommend him, he will even bring the cash and pick up the same day if needed
