Just tried out olive oil on our foal who has rain scald due to non stop rain. Really pleased as it has help lift off all the scabs, protects the skin against more rain, and helps soothe the irritated skin. She also seemed to enjoy it being put on and massaged into her skin.

What home remedies do you use on your horses?

I have also used manuka honey on wounds, with good success.
