I have a very active horse who needs lots of things to occupy him :P
He normally is out during day in at night but with all wet weather field is just so wet and so he is living in a yard (attached to his stable) with unlimited access to his own woodchip turnout bit at the moment.

However he plays with everything (always has done!!) and has trashed many buckets, feed buckets (which are now always rubber :p) and has currently taken to tipping over his hay feeder just for the fun of it :rolleyes3:

I was wondering if any of you had an idea or have made any homemade horse toys or any reviews on what you can buy? :)

And just to show him playing:

I was so disappointed when I realised this was in the Tack Room...it could have been a rather fun thread in the Club House :wink3:

Then I watched your video and still have a smile on my face :)

How about a space hopper? He can grab the handle and play about with that?

I love that, he is a star! He needs one of those sticks with the ribbon on the end, gymnastic style!
Have seen vids of horses playing with looks like a gym ball! Would something like that interest him?

Naughty jinglesmells :p

He might play with a spacehopper, although i could see it being thrown over the wall pretty quickly :p

He gets all the dead lead ropes with clips cut off, and in that vid he stole the dog lead out of pocket :p

BEST.VIDEO.EVER!!!
Haha I loved that!! Even the music was perfect
How long can he keep that up for?

Lol he does this all the time :p he plays for ages! He dosent only use a rope, he has used a headcollar, a coat which again was stolen (and then promptly trashed) and whips!

I watched him one day in the field for at least 20-30mins playing with a rope (a stolen one!) and it was very amusing :p
He has been trying to do mini rears whilst twirling and is also trying to canter whilst twirling which is very fun to watch!

I so totally want him!
Id be endlessly entertained haha!

I must try my boy with one! He does hold my whip and he has been known to push a childs bike (with stabilisers) down the path to the stables with me trying to get him off it haha

My horse once did something similar with a small child!!!! At the local show a 3 year old wasn't being watched by his parents and my horse picked him up by the back of his jumper and lifted him in the pen! Thankfully we were there to get him out! phew
