Ah thank you Rainbowdash , I love her to bits, . Took an 11 yr break from horse's after fracturing my neck.
To be honest, she looks a bit upright to me and lacking a bit of quality and blood to be RDS hunter standard.
She needs to be giving a VERY nice ride to get ot that level, and there looks like much schooling to be done. She is a little coarse in the head for top level stuff I would say.
However! She is a lovely type and looks to have a nice attitude and willing nature. She has a lot of maturing to do. Maybe the coloured classses, as if she measure out of small huntes she will be dwarfed by massive half breds! How much Tb does she have?
There're loads of county shows so maybe this can be an option?
Nice mare, I don't mean to be uber critical I am just giving my honest opinion. Feel utterly free tototally disregard it!
I honestly think that with a bit of time spent correctly schooling to build up correct muscle and topline, bit of time spent getting her coat into condition (good feeding and rugging), and a good make over (both turnout and trimming- Tweed for you, brown tack for her), there will be a BIG difference.
I would say though she is not really a hunter type for showing- they tend to have distinct quality at the top levels, and she seems to be a more all-round looking sort of horse (though still lovely!!)
Really work on your turnout and schooling and showring- craftsmanship (watch lots of classes) and I can see no reason why she wont hold her own in higher level coloured classes and lower level hunter classes.
Good Luck!![]()
