On from previous post,

I sent polite message reading- '' Hi X, look its not working out with the fields, Ive been having complaints about 2 yr old jumping on to road, If you could move them by weekend that would be great, and I'll give you your rent that your owed (£80). Catch up soon.X''

I had a phone call from 'friends OH' after, he went mental!

Saying that HIS horses dont hedge hop and jump on to roads, even though people that I know have had to chase a White horse back over, NB the rest of the horses are bay or chestnut, and all of mine are bay!

After all they have done for me this is how I repay them!

I didnt want to get in to a petty argument over who done what for who, but sorry I have done hell of a lot for them, and so has my OH, he decorated 3 rooms in their cottage for jack sh1t!
The list could go on and on.
You wouldn't believe that Im 23 and their in their 50's!

And they are no longer my friends! They will pick their horses up at the weekend and thats it then!
I said I dont want to fall out over something silly and its not as if Im kicking them out with no where to go, they have 5 acres at home FGS!

It will be a bit hard as we go to all the same events!

No I don't think you are wrong. If their ponies are escaping on to a road I would be seriously concerned apart from anything else! As you say they have 5 acres to use so its not like they have no where else to go - or was it just that they thought they would get you to help out with them?

Have a large wine and chocolates yourself!!

I agree with your issue and that you need to act but maybe sending it by text and 'by weekend' might have upset them?

Sunny, I have tried phoning her over last few days and she has been ignoring my calls! She has been acting really ignorant whenever I have seen her up there.
Yesterday I rang to let her know her yearling colt and 2yr old were running riot she didn't answer so left message, when I got there the only thing she did was shouted ''its your bloody ponies''

even though mine hadn't escaped!!!

Im just tucking in to a buttons easter egg

It will be amusing when I see her up there everyday!
Brad gets my back up though, he's not even seen the fields and the set up!

Under the circumstances, you have done right. Hopefully things can go back to the calm you wanted when you took on the land. You will just have to try to avoid them at events.

Well done you for putting your foot down.

Maybe your ponies will be able to enjoy their new home properly now! lol!

Its amazing how older people can act like children isnt it!

I just feel sorry for her ponies!
