4weeks ago we lost my daughters 128cm JA pony which came as a shock to all of us as he was entered into POYS and we were travelling down the next day there.

Two weeks ago my horse was shot, I had a 7year battle with her with all different diagnosises and she went into toxic shock during the operation and they couldnt find a nerve to inject her with.

So feeling pretty lousy about them both and rather emotional. But as they say things can only get better, surely they cant get any worse? Well they sure did

My daughter let our new dog out today and he went flying after our 32year old gelding who has recently lost weight and been retired. Running after him barking and flaring his teeth, we were shouting/running after dog but he wasnt going to stop. Prince our little pony was galloping so fast,he started to slow as he was worn out. So our little dog bit his leg and kept attacking him, by the time we had got over there was so much blood. Prince tried to trott off away from the dog but stumbled over and landed on the leg where he has his fractured split bone 3years ago

Vet said theres too much damage to be able to help him have a full recovery so he was pts earlier today. Needless to say both me and my daughter are in bits. Ive known Prince all 32years off his life as my dad bred him, he taught me, my son and daughter to ride aswell.

So know here comes the part, what am I doing wrong? Someone must have somthing against me

This is so sad. Unfortunatly these runs of very tragic bad luck can occur in all walks of life. I so sorry to hear this has happened to you, I sincerely hope things rapidly start to mprove for you & you can start to rebuild some form of normality.

Best of wishes to you and your family.

Am so sorry for you. Hope things take an upturn now, you must feel you've had enough bad luck for a lifetime.

Don't know what to say to you, I lost 2 dogs and a pony last year but not in such a short time. You must be gutted. Hugs to you and your daughter, surely things must get better for you soon.

I am really sorry for you, what a terrible time.

Things can only get better.

I am sure I can speak for everyone when I say our thoughts are with you.

Big hugs to you and your family!.You really have been through the mill lately!.You havent done anything wrong other than give three horses a very good life.If bad things come in three's i hope it is the end of your very bad luck!.

I am so sorry to read your sad news.A couple of weeks ago horsegroupie was having a really bad time and we decidedthat she must have been someone terrible in a previous life, she thought she must have been hitler.
If we keep our horses and give them the best[ which is not to sell them as soon as we tire of them] then at some point we are going to loose them but at least you know these horses were loved all their life,[if we sell them we don't know what happens to them]You have had a really bad patch and I wouldn't wish that on anyone but I have the feeling you are a strong person and have a good family to pull together.BIG HUG

So sorry to hear of your terrible bad run. You haven't done anything to cause these problems. Life can be a bitch to the nicest people sometimes.

Remeber good things happen to bad people and bad things happen to good people, it is just random luck.
I'm sure things will turn around soon.

Oh gosh. Words cannot convey how sorry I am to hear of your tragic run of bad luck.

Big hugs to all of you at this most devastating of times.
