My cob came charging my n last week from her field on very stony ground and became lame. At first I thought it must have been a stone she could put much weight on it. The next day she seemed so much better but still sore. I called the farrier who came and couldn’t find anything. He was amaz d at how little foot she had to trim being that last time he saw her was 7 months ago( she has a long walk to field over very stony groun) he said is seemed like a bruise or abcess brewing but not to bother with vet. She is still lame a week later but only in trot and seems quite happy otherwise. He did say the problem foot seemed a little unbalanced she is wearing one side more than the other. Any ideas or advice?

I would take her for a full work up, expecting some X rays, especially is she is still lame after a week.

Even if it is just foot imbalance, the X rays woulld show the inside story and make it easier to correct.
