Can I bump this up with a question - is it actually good for feet? I can see someone said further up it can help clear thrush etc but I thought the hoof needed to breathe and this sounds a bit odd putting such a strong/solid thing on? Generally people seem fairly anti hoof oil, potions etc so why is this one ok?
I’m not sure I’m phrasing myself very well, sorry, hopefully someone will understand what I’m trying to say!

It's an epoxy resin glue of a very similar type to the stuff called Araldite, (or any of the glues sold where you mix two things to make it) but the guy who developed it did a lot of research into the best formulation for this purpose. I find it difficult to believe that it breathes much, if at all, and I'd want to be completely certain that I wasn't sealing in any of the nasty anaerobic bugs that get into the white line and cause seedy toe. But I've never seen or heard a word said against it and lots of people find it helpful.

I'd rather use boots

So would I, it's too fiddly for me. I can see a good use for it in situations where boots can be an issue, like hunting and for turnout, and if you just need a little extra help on short sections of a hack.

It's a lot easier than boots once you are used to it. Only need to do an application once a month or so, probably a 15 minute job, rather than booting every ride .

I have tried it. Not difficult to apply nor particularly fiddly. If you can trim a foot or put boots on should be no problem.
Most definitely would not put it on the frog. If you have thrush deal with it as thrush. If the horse is footy because of the thrush then deal with the thrush don't cover it up with hoof armour

The downside to me was that I didn't find it very effective. It is expensive to experiment with as you need the applicator to apply it.

If you have a horse who can go BF over anything then I can see a use for the tiny bits it can't manage.

If I needed something it would be boots.
