So my horse has had terrible feet in the past, and over the past 2 years, he’s had hood boots to cope with weather conditions. He’s been in Equine Fusion size 13 in fronts and in hinds, Easyboot Joggers. He’s been so comfortable in them but in the past few weeks, he’s just put his foot through the soles - which repairing has become so expensive. So i’ve been trying to find an alternative. Does anyone know any good quality boots that aren’t so expensive and that will fit:
front left: length 135mm, width 120mm
front right: length 130mm, width 130mm
I’ve looked at scoot boots and im worried his heels are too high? (see added pictures)
Thanks in advance

I always recommend Renegade Vipers, which would probably fit your horse (though you never know for sure). They work for round hooves -- not so much for narrow ones.

All hoof boots wear out eventually. Mine last about a year to a year and a half if I am doing a lot of hacking over rocky ground.

One of my horses has odd front feet (one is very upright and boxy) and Scoots shouldn't work for him, but they do - he has a size 0 slim on the boxy foot and a size 1 on the other

I don't think scoots are going to fit those feet very well. Renegades are expensive and I'm not sure they are the boots for those feet. If he was mine I would keep him the boots he has been comfortable in and simply get him some new ones. You can spend a lot of time ordering boots and then sending them back if they don't fit.

Send pictures and measurements to urban horse.
I had a good run with cavallo treks, the only complaint i have is that they weren’t very grippy in the winter on muddy lanes, although that is the case with alot of boots

I’ve just bought EVO boots from after trying a mixed fit kit. I wanted the vipers but his heels are a tiny bit high so they suggested the Evos and they are lovely. They are also lighter, slimmer and much easier to put on than the vipers…..not had a massive test so far though but they seem a great fit. Try the fit kits. Hoofbootique have the mixed fit kits.
