So, all is going brilliantly since my boy has been barefoot and riding out in hoof boots. Many milestones have been reached and his hooves are looking brilliant, but now a problem has arisen - we have no grip in the mud! Went on a bit of a hair-raising hack today and he slipped so many times. Deep mud is fine, but flat, smooth mud is a nightmare. Hooves just cut into it but my cavallo boots are just sliding all over it.

Anyone else had this problem and found a solution? Really don't want to go back into shoes as he's doing so, so well, but don't really want to have to restrict our adventures through the winter either

Unfortunately can't go without them at the moment as where I ride it's quite flinty in places and his hooves aren't ready for that yet. I'll have a look at the boots you mentioned though Headpiece. Thanks.

Thanks LucyPriory. I like the look of the Easyboot Egde and have also just seen that the Easyboot Gloves can have studs fitted for slippery conditions - getting quite excited!

Yeah, it's a shame Silver Zaanif as my cavallos are perfect in every other way. I'm going to have a look at some of these Easyboots though. Sounds like they could be the answer :)

I have been trying to get hold of some easyboots and it seems there is a problem with their suppliers and none will be available untill feb time:(

Which Easyboots are you after Allover? If it's the Gloves, there are quite a lot advertised on eBay at the moment in various sizes.

I got it wrong it was the Epics i was after (:o) in a size 4, had a look on ebay and there are none in that size. Will keep looking on there though, thanks:)
