hoof boots cavello old macs? help!

So my 17 yo 16hh horse is on babysitting duty for my 2yo at the moment any only gets ridden at the weekend.

Has had shoes off for about 9 months and works fine on grass or the road but does feel the ground when on a track which is a bit gravelly/stoney. My farrier says he has really good feet without the shoes.

sooooooo was thinking about getting him the hoof boots for when he is ridden but not sure which are the good brands and which ones to avoid. any recomendations? many thanks

I have a pair of Cavallos and had to use one on a front hoof for a Lucinda Green XC clinic. It was fine we jumped everything. I also use them for hacking when he pulls off front shoes.

i currently have the Old Mac G2's for our welsh D. they wear well and are easy to fit. Ive also had BOA boots but they were fiddly to put on.
