As title really. I have boots which fit OK and put them on for a leading session around the yard and horse is obviously quite comfortable in them.

But how long (minutes) and how far (miles) would you ride a horse in them for the first time out of shoes?

I can't really help in terms of miles and minutes as to be honest I can't really remember what i've done in the past, but I would keep it relatively short and build up when you can be sure that they aren't rubbing. I found that a good trick, particularly with leather boots which can be very stiff, is to soak them in very hot water and use a leather conditioner to soften them up a bit before your first ride (obviously after letting them dry!). Good luck
