Mine wears Boas on his back feet when we go out hacking expecting stony ground or when there has been a lot of wet weather. I live on the moors so the terrain is very 'interesting'.
So far they have never come off despite moorland bogs, forestry trails churned up by machinery, cantering across heathland etc, the beach. The only slight problem I noticed is that they were slippy when we were charging up a damp grassy hill! I have jumped in them on grass though I don't generally bother for jumping or schooling, as he doesn't need them for that, he has more grip without.
I find they do hold a bit of mud so give them a good hosing down after every 'dunking'. I am really rather impressed with them! I did take a lot of time and read up very carefully before buying them, to get the right size and shape for my horse's feet, and so they are a very snug fit.
