I need to buy some hoof boots to ride in, mare had shoes off two weeks ago and was meant to be turned away for winter however vet has now said to ride her for next few weeks to make sure hock injections have worked enough. So whats the best type to go for? And how do you know what size to get?

measure ur horses hooves after a fresh trim and then search thro all the different types of boots - easyboots, old macs, cavello(sp?!) etc and see what would fit ur horses feet best.

ive just got some easyboot gloves as this is the boot that gives me what i want from a boot and hopefully (measurements on paper ok) will fit like a glove too!

ive only had no shoes for 5days but mare happy walking/trotting out on the roads already!

Fit is critical to success.

Each make fits some hoof shapes better than others.

Most boot manufacturers show you how to measure so you can see if the boot will fit.......

I mostly fit Cavellos and EasyCare Gloves. There are others though.
