I was just wondering if any one has used these boots? What make and how you found them.
My horse hasnt had shoes on since October 2011. He's had soundness problems and after an operation and a walking program etc he seems to be getting better. I am reluctant to put shoes back on as he seems better without but he is starting to get foot sore on our stony yard with the increasing amount of walking he needs to do.
Thanks for any help or advise :-)

My big mare has a pair of old mac g2's which are excellent. She only has them on if her feet are really sensitive.

But i recommend you try keratex hoof hardener first, this is brilliant stuff, if she gets a bit footy I use this and it sorts her out, the boots are only used occasionally for long hacks on rough ground if she is a bit sore. And only on her front feet.

The weather has a huge impact on her feet, when the ground is wet like it has been she can feel footy, in summer when its dry her feet are so hard she doesnt feel anything.

I have easyboot trails for my mare. I dont used them that often as she is generally ok without but i find when i do they stay on and stay in place are easy to put on and off.

Another vote for the Easyboot Trails. Simple and quick to get on and off. They may look a bit bulky but horse was so comfortable in them and was striding out happy.

The best thing is to measure - what works depends onthe shape and size of the horses feet :) we use old mac originals and love them :)

That said, I would probably be looking at diet too. Spring. Grass is here sadly and I know my sensitive one is footy on "nothing" after a day out in trie mud swamp field.

Mine wore easy boot gloves. They are fab. Mine has shoes back on now though. I have a pair of 1.5 gloves for sale
