I think treks will be the shape for his front hoofs so thats what I am aiming for

I am thinking of using hoof boots since we only hack around. I have a tb with dinkity feet! Think he would be a 2 in cavallos and a 1 in Boa.
Does anyone have any experience they can share? Only ever used a hoof boot once when he lost a shoe ?

Following with interest as I may have to buy some for Lari when he goes barefoot in a couple of weeks. Need him to go barefoot in preparation for the bloodbank but worried in case he goes very sore to start with.

He will feel it to start with. Be like a hobbly old man ? its taken months to get him walking on the gravel to and from the field.
Is Lari shod all round?

Yes every five weeks. Having them off sometime this week i think. Need to check date.

That used to be BB too. Still shod on front every 5 weeks and just trimmed on back, my farrier said he wouldnt take BBs off all round yet just because he is so sensitive and has really really flat feet,so will think about that next year

Farrier wants to trim every 8 weeks but I think that's too long when he's been doing every five weeks for past 12 months. Guess he knows better than me though ...

He probably wont need them as often because he will be wearing them down naturally ?

I initially bought boa hoof boots, they ended up rubbing his low heels, so now I have scoot boots ?

They are honestly great! I cannot fault them , I bought new straps and they are brilliant now ?
