Hoof Care & Coconut

Have any of you lovely ladies and gentleman got any reviews on using coconut oil on hooves? Did it work? I have heard from a few people and read that it does really work and help keep their hooves healthy and in condition.

Keratex Coconut Oil Hoof Balm​

which I think just contains coconut oil, tea tree & beeswax but how does that compare to a good 100% virgin coconut oil? I have a natural 100% coconut oil at home that I use for my dogs coat to keep it good and it seems to work really nice.

My boy is 8 months and doesn't have bad hooves prior.

Any advice?

Healthy diet and movement are key for good hooves , oils and balms dont really do anything IMO.

Id say if struggling with hooves I would add biotin to the diet.
Otherwise leave the coconut oil to the mane and tail

Coconut oil is a natural anti fungal and as such is useful for horses feet .

I think Hedgewitch do a hoof oil that contains coconut oil, never used it though.
