I have heard lots of different opinions on this wanted to see what you think. Should you put any type of hood dressing on your horses feet or leave them how they are? If you where going to put hoof dressing on what type would you use?

No hoof dressings. Water is the only thing I apply to the hoof wall topically. Nutrition is the way to improve hoof quality.

Hi there feeding is the best way with supplements such as biotin however if a dressing is needed for severe flaking, cracks bad condition in general Kevin bacon hoof dressing is very good. I have a thoroughbred who's feed have always been susceptible to weather changes and this has certainly helped. Selby

No hoof dressings - Kevin Bacon is pretty much just lard, so an apt name.

HOOF DRESSING is a 100% natural product made from animal fat and fresh laurel leaves that have been macerated to release their active substances.

HOOF DRESSING a remarkable product that is used and recommended by all riding professionals.

That's right folks - all riding professionals, not just some! ;)

Biotin alone is a very poor hoof supplement as the research was not done in the UK and therefore the grazing/forage the tested horses were eating was not the same as here (eg deficient in different minerals).

H2O. lol Putting oil on disturbs the moisture balance and can lock bugs in. The old saying, you are what you eat applies imo, hooves are mainly keratin ie, skin.
