My blacksmith has recommended a couple - Naf Hoof Moist & Kevin Bacon Hoof Dressing but have never used either. Any experiences any one of these or what else do people use? Have been using Cornucrescene for the last few months but horse still has brittle hooves.

i use both Cornucrescine and Kevin Bacon, i alternate with them, and Ted's hooves look a lot healthier, i know theyre still very brittle but i have only been using them for a month but they look better appearance wise not so cracked and dry

i would highly recommend Kevin Bacon, i have friends who have used it all summer and spring and theyre horses who usually have cracked hooves have not had one crack this year

I've used the NAF hoof moist in the past which was good as its water based- for the last 6 months or so I've been using The Right Step hoof dressing and it seems good, it regulates the moisture going into the hooves and makes them look healthy.

My farrier says the only product he will recommend for feet is hoof moist. Other than that, I believe a good diet is essential. One of mine can get through extra thick shoes in 16 days

and is a fatty, on a permanent diet - feeding her lo cal definitely helps her have such healthy feet
