I was wondering if we could do a sort of survey, on hoof condition and how the environment they live in could effect hoof quality.
Thought it could be useful for us all.
A few questions for you to answer.
1) Is you horse kept in a heavily farmed area?
2) Is your horse kept near a golf course?
3) Is there something going on in your area, such as quarrys, heavily built up area?, something using chemicals that could seep into the spoil within a mile radius?
3) Has you horse had a abscess? How any in a year??
4) Does your horse have thrush regularly?
5) Do you shoe your horse?
6) How often do you shoe or trim your horse?
7) What do you feed your horse?
8) How often are they exercised?
9) Does your horse drink tap water from the water board or well water or other??
10) does your horse suffer with any other particular problems, such as sweet itch or other and is this a common problem in this particular area??
11) How many times has your horse been lame??
