I've noticed in a few posts recently that The Farrier recommends a product called Hoof Heal. Have to admit it's not one that I've heard of before. and am interested to hear if anyone on the forum uses it and if so, what's it particularly good for?

I currently use Kevin Bacon hoof dressing and feed a biotin based supplement to improve hoof condition with good results over the past 9 months or so.

Just wondering if it might be worth giving Hoof Heal a try.

Thanks

Its good stuff most of my clients use it if you do try it dont use it more than the recommended three times a week (you can still use your kevin bacon on the other days) as people who have done this the hooves went from bad to good to soft.

Will be interesting to hear more feed back of course.

It is good for improving the quality fo the feet, its not just moisturizing it seems to be nourishing as well but is quite concentrated

I agree with the farrier, it is good stuff BUT no more than 3 times a weeks as it just makes the feet far too soft and almost slimy. I tend to try and use it twice a week, and then use nettex Summer hoof the other five days. Have been using this regime now for about 3 weeks, and am definitely seeing improvement in my TB's extremely dry feet.
