Hoof issue!!!!!!!!!!

I have just purchased my new
Horse and have noticed that his front hooves have bumps almost half way down which are more in the centre area of the hoof.He also has the start of a vertical crack in one of them from what looks like flares. Is this serious or can it be corrected with regular trimming? He is 2 1/2, unshod and out 24/7.
